PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical interconnection component that facilitates sure three-dimensional electrical wiring, and to provide the optical interconnection component manufactured by the method.;SOLUTION: Leads 31a and 31b are provided on a lead frame 30, in order to perform electric connection with a photoelectric conversion unit 40, expanded width parts 34, each having a width larger than the width W0 of the leads 31a and 31b on the surface of the lead frame 30 are provided on the cross section of the leads 31a and 31b. Then since the expanded width parts 34 are made to be included in a resin 20a, when the lead frame 30 is insert-molded on the front surface 21 of a molding 20, the leads 31a and 31b will therefore not drop out of the resin after being insert-molded. Thereafter, since wiring is performed so that the leads 31a and 31b are partially exposed to the side face 22 continued to the front face 21 of the molding 20, the three-dimensional electric wiring is performed easily and surely, as a result.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
