PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of easily and accurately executing input-output characteristics tests of a tester without using a colorimeter.;SOLUTION: An image whose gradation varies toward one direction is allowed to be printed on a slit chart 10a while an image whose gradation varies toward a vertical direction in relation to the above one direction is allowed to be printed on a background chart 20a. A harmonic curved line Z that appears on an image area 30 overlapping the slit chart 10a with the background chart 20a is measured. When the harmonic curved line Z is straight, color adjustment or correction of the tester are considered proper, but not considered proper when the curved line is not straight.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
