PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve seizure resistance of a tapered roller bearing 1.;SOLUTION: In an inner ring 3 in this tapered roller bearing 1, dams 3d are provided at a plurality of positions in a circumference of a circumferential groove 3c. When rotation is stopped as the tapered roller bearing 1 is supported around a horizontal shaft, lubricating oil existing in the circumferential groove 3c in an upper half of the inner ring 3 is prohibited by the dams 3d from dropping down. Even immediately after rotation is started, lubricating oil is easily supplied to an end surface of a tapered roller 4, an inner side surface of a flange 3b, a race surface 3a, etc., in a whole circumferential range of the inner ring 3, especially in an upper half range.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
