PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling quality of service (QoS) in an IP network which is capable of achieving QoS of high practical usefulness while avoiding interference even if QoS techniques based on router control are combined with QoS techniques based on route control.;SOLUTION: In the QoS control apparatus, IP packets are sorted for each quality class in an IP network, and quality is guaranteed for each quality class being sorted. The present apparatus includes an IP header setting means for setting a bit for control of routers constituting the IP network and a bit for routing the routers into a field of an IP header of the IP packet so as not to interfere mutually, and a notification means for notifying a router of information set by the setting means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
