As for the optical fiber, 1st mode field diameter of basic mode of the acoustic mode which occurs in the aforementioned optical fiber, differs from the 2nd mode field diameter of optical intensity distribution of the said optical fiber. In addition, in order to do analog signal transmission or baseband transmission or optical SCM transmission making use of this optical fiber, the transmission system is formed.
