Chondroitin sulfate / dermatan sulfate hybrid chain derived from fish

Provided is a novel chondroitin sulfate / dermatan sulfate hybrid chain having a binding action with various growth factors, a neurite outgrowth promoting action and an anticoagulant action, and further provides a composition for treating a neurological disease. A novel chondroitin sulfate / dermatan sulfate hybrid chain was isolated and purified from fishes other than teleosts. When shark skin is used, the average molecular weight of the hybrid chain is 65 to 75 kDa, the degree of sulfation is in the range of 0.7 to less than 1.20 per disaccharide molecule, and GlcUA (2S) -GalNAc ( 4S). The hybrid chain can bind to various growth factors, and further has a neurite outgrowth promoting action and an anticoagulant action.
