Gelatin coated tablets that rapidly disintegrate. The present invention relates to an improved gelatin coated dosage form which has two final regions coated with gelatinous materials and an exposed circumferential strip. Openings are provided in at least the exposed strip to reveal the core material. The invention also relates to methods for producing such gelatin coated dosage forms.
