METHOD FOR CONTROLLING NUMBER OF CURRANT BUD MITE (CECIDOPHYOPSIS RIBIS WESTW.)

A method for controlling the number of currant bud mite (Cecidophyopsis ribis Westw.) includes active destructive action as regards to population thereof. In spring, at the beginning of currant budding round buds infected by the mite, large according to sizes thereof, are collected, they are burnt. At the beginning of mass migration of the mites double settling on currant brushes of larvae of the common earwig (Forficula auricularia Z.) is carried out with an interval of 8-10 days. In the period when migration of the mites finishes double settling of imago of the common earwig (Chrysopa vulgaris) is carried out with an interval of 6-8 days.
