The holder comprises a pair of tubes for holding the chopsticks, a sleigh connecting the two tubes together and a guide plate on one tube which is received between two locating plates on the other tube. A holder for a pair of chopsticks comprises two tubes which each hold one chopstick and are joined to each other via a sleigh extending at right angles to the tubes. At least one guide plate extends from the first tube in the direction of the second tube and at least two locating plates extend from the second tube in the direction of the first tube so that the guide plate is received between the two locating plates. A lock is provided for fixing the guide plate into position between the two locating plates.
