Procedure for the production of dopaminergic neurons, by inducing a dopaminergic neuronal fate in a neural progenitor cell or in a neural stem cell, comprising: the expression of Nurr1 above the basal levels within the cell, and putting contact of the cell with one or more factors obtainable from a Type 1 astrocyte of the ventral mesencephalon, thereby obtaining dopaminergic neurons.
