HIGH EFFICACY, LOW RESIDUE ANTIPERSPIRANT STICK COMPOSITIONS

Disclosed are anhydrous antiperspirant sticks that comprise from about 0.5 %to about 60 % by weight of particulateantiperspirant active; from about 16 % to about 50 % by weight of a solidsuspending agent; from about 10 % to about 80 % byweight of a volatile silicone; and from about 1% to about 35 % by weight of anon volatile silicone, wherein the sticks are preferablysubstantially free of nonvolatile organic liquids having a C log P valuegreater than 5.5, and have a product hardness of at least about600 gram.force. The sticks are further characterized by defined low residueand/or high antiperspirant efficacy measures. Thesecompositions contain relatively high solid suspending agent concentrations ofat least 16 % by weight and still provide low residueperformance and high antiperspirant efficacy.
