SHREDDER HEAD, AND MOBILE SILVICULTURAL VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME

A shredder head for passing over a terrain containing vegetation and rocksso as to silviculturally process said terrain. The shredder head includes anelongated support shaft, a rotor, and a plurality of first and second sectionsprovided longitudinally along a peripheral support surface area of the rotor.Thesecond sections are each disposed between pairs of first sections so as tohavean alternation of first and second sections longitudinally along the rotor.Eachsection includes at least one supporting element for supporting at least oneprocessing tool configured for cooperating with the terrain via a rotation oftherotor for processing the terrain and corresponding vegetation and rockspresenttherein. First longitudinal gaps are defined between pairs of adjacent firstsections, and second longitudinal gaps are defined between pairs of adjacentsecond sections, and the supporting elements and corresponding processingtools of these sections are shaped, positioned and sized within theirrespectivesections so that the longitudinal gaps are smaller than longitudinalthicknesses ofthe corresponding processing tools so that rocks present in the terrain to beprocessed by the shredder head are impacted either by processing tools ofadjacent sections or by processing tools of a same given section, so as todecrease average impact forces of the rocks per processing tool of theshredderhead. The shredder head is also advantageous in that it is configured to beableto change the nature of the processing tools used therewith, without having tochange the rotor or the corresponding supports of the processing tools.
