The holding body (4) can be fixed in a material-uniting manner to a motorvehicle rear window (3) in an upper window edge region facing the vehicleinterior or on a trim part in an upper trim part edge region facing thevehicleinterior by means of an adhesion promoter layer. A trim part (1) of the trimassembly is inserted with a rear window-side rim region (8) or the motorvehiclerear window is inserted with a trim-side rim region into the receivinggroove (6). A trim assembly of this type and a motor vehicle assembly alsocomprising the rear window avoids the visual impression of the visible side ofthe motor vehicle being limited by visible fastening elements for the trimpart.
