The invention relates to an ink writing device comprising a tubular shaft, a storage reservoir for admitting the ink and which is provided with an aeration opening, a writing insert with a pen nib, an ink guiding system with a temporary storage reservoir for guiding the ink to the tip of the pen nib, a micro pump, a valve and a battery or accumulator as well as an electronic control of the ink flow. Furthermore, the temporary storage reservoir (6) is embodied as a control capillary for the second control circuit and capillary traps (16) are arranged between each control capillary (17) and the main channel. The invention also relates to a method for controlling the ink flow at the tip of the pen nib.
