A two-part (11, 12) stainless steel assembly (10) heats or cools a part of a tool form for a plastic mass e.g. an injection moulding form. The two halves (11, 12) are welded together. The assembly has one or more internal cooling/heating ducts (13) for the cooling/heating medium (T). The heating/cooling duct (13) is inner face (37) defined by a lining consisting of successive layers of powder-applied material to form an approximately tubular shape.
