A heat pump cooling and heating apparatus is provided to improve the evaporation efficiency and the condensation efficiency in indoor heat exchangers and heat a room efficiently through sensible heat applied to refrigerant along with condensed latent heat of the refrigerant in winter. A compressor(23) is connected with an outdoor heat exchanger(3) by way of a four-way valve(S1). The outdoor heat exchanger is connected with indoor heat exchangers(7,9,11,13) by way of expansion valves(E1,E2) for outdoor heat exchangers, and expansion valves(E3,E4) for indoor heat exchangers. The indoor heat exchangers are connected to the compressor by way of the four-way valve. A refrigerant heating device(15) is installed between the four-way valve and the indoor heat exchangers. The indoor heat exchangers are formed of a first heat exchanger pair formed by two heat exchangers connected in parallel, and a second heat exchanger pair having the same structure and capacity as the first heat exchanger pair and connected with the first heat exchanger pair in series by pipes so that a refrigerant receiving sensible heat through the refrigerant heating device in case of heating, emits sensible heat along with condensed latent heat while staying in the indoor heat exchanger.
