COMPOSITION CONTAINING DOCOSAHEXANOIC ACID WHICH HAVE COLON CANCER CHEMOPREVENTIVE ACTIVITY

A composition containing docosahexanoic acid(DHA) is provided to inhibit activities of cytochrome P450 1A1, quinine reductase, and ornithine decarboxylase without side effects, so that the composition is useful for preventing initiation of carcinogenesis for colon cancer. A composition for preventing colon cancer contains docosahexanoic acid(DHA) which is obtained by extracting purified fish oil, further contains pharmaceutically acceptable carriers, excipients and additives, and is formulated as tablet, pill, powder, suspension, emulsion, solution, syrup, aerosol, soft or hard gelatin capsule, sterile injection solution and sterile powder, wherein the daily dosage of DHA is 0.1-10g/kg, preferably 30-1,000mg/kg.
