SILICONE RUBBER COMPOSITION AND LOW ODOR SILICONE RUBBER SPONGE USING THE SAME

A silicone rubber composition, and a silicone rubber sponge prepared by using the composition are provided to reduce the smell due to the use of a foaming agent and to omit post-curing process. A silicone rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups per a molecule represented by R1_a SiO_(4-a)/2; 0.5-50 parts by weight of an organic azo foaming agent; 0.1-50 parts by weight of a composition which comprises 100 parts by weight of water and 1-1,000 parts by weight of silica; and a curing agent in an amount efficient for curing the organopolysiloxane, wherein R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; and a is 1.95-2.04.
