An electric motor (1) has a rotor (20) rotating relative to a stator (10), and the stator (10) has teeth (11) each having an exciting coil (12) wound on it. Each of the teeth (11) produces a magnetic field from its top surface (11a) toward the rotor (20) and has a radially extended section (11A) extended in the radial direction of the rotor (20) and also has a coil-wound section (11B) formed so as to bend from the radially extended section (11A).
