A high resolution camera device using a linear imaging device and a method for implementing the same are provided to obtain high resolution by moving the linear imaging device along a guide rail installed in the camera corresponding to a size of pixel. A high resolution camera device using a linear imaging device comprises a camera body(11), guide rails(13), a linear imaging device(10) and a micro motor(14). A lens is mounted on a front end of the camera body. The guide rails are installed in the camera body. The linear imaging device moves to left/right along the guide rails. The micro motor is installed on the guide rails to drive the linear imaging device. The guide rails are installed in parallel to each other in the camera body such that the guide rail are connected to upper and lower ends, respectively.
