Apparatus for measuring internal resistance of electrochemical power source and method of the same

A device and a method for measuring internal resistance of an electrochemical power source are provided to continuously measure the internal resistance at high speed regardless of operation states of the electrochemical power source by measuring and analyzing a voltage response signal for a short time period at high speed as applying a lamp or sine wave current signal to the power source. A device(500) for measuring internal resistance of an electrochemical power source comprises the followings: a current applying unit(510) generating and applying input current continuously changed, to a power terminal of the electrochemical power source; a voltage detecting unit(520) detecting a voltage response signal of the electrochemical power source to the analog input current at predetermined time intervals during the certain detection time; and an internal resistance measuring unit(530) obtaining a voltage response function for time by linearly approximating the detected voltage response signal and determining an internal resistance value of the electrochemical power source on the basis of change rate of the input current for time and the gradient and offset of the voltage response function.
