The decoration- or functional part made up of aluminum or aluminum alloy, comprises an anodized and optionally dyed surface that is partially or fully coated with a single layer out of ambivalent organic molecules with a functional end that is connected with anodized layer and with further functional end, which is hydrophobic and which protrudes from the anodized layer. The functional end of the organic molecule acts as an adsorbed thiol-group of organothiol and is a non-polar aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon residue. The thickness of the single layer is less than 6 nm. An independent claim is included for a procedure for the production of pH-resistant decoration- or functional part made up of aluminum or aluminum alloy.
