Disclosed is a cast iron material for the production of the piston rings and the cylinder liners, characterized by a mixed structure, comprising 50% is predominantly tempered martensite, 10%, and 0,5% primary carbides, 30% perlite and 30% tempered bainite, wherein 70% of the primary carbides nbc, and wherein the mixed structure, is subjected to a heat treatment.
