Computerized image processing method for night vision system of e.g. passenger car, involves processing detected night vision image for displaying on display unit, where processing takes place depending on image processing criteria
The method involves detecting a night vision image of surroundings of a vehicle by a night vision sensor (S1) e.g. infrared sensor. Parameters e.g. position of lane, of the surrounding of the vehicle is detected by detecting units (S2, S3, S4). Image areas of the night vision image are determined from the parameters of the surrounding. The detected image is processed for displaying on a display unit (A), where the processing takes place depending on an image processing criteria of an image content category of the respective image area. The processed image is reproduced on the display unit. An independent claim is also included for a device for computerized image processing in a night vision system of a vehicle , in particular a motor vehicle.
