The navigation device has an interface e.g. Bluetooth interface and infra-red interface, for receiving movement data of a vehicle and implemented as a wireless interface, where the navigation device is a mobile device. The vehicle has an interface for transmission of the movement data of the vehicle, and the navigation device provides the movement data for determining a geographical position of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a geographical position of a vehicle with a mobile navigation device.
