Controlling method for traffic-adaptive assistance system of vehicle, involves providing distance range of distance variable for each vehicle speed, for distance of vehicle to preceding vehicle between upper and lower distance limit
The method involves providing a distance range of a distance variable for each possible vehicle speed, for the distance of vehicle to the preceding vehicle between an upper distance limit and a lower distance limit. The total measured value of the distance has a value within the distance range. A regulation mode is used as for the values outside the distance range. The upper distance limit and the lower distance limit for definite vehicle speeds is dependent on the dynamic values of the preceding vehicle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a vehicle control device for a traffic adaptive assistance system (2) a computer program with program code in order to accomplish all the steps of a control system for vehicle sided traffic-adaptive assistance system (3) a computer program product with program code-unit, which are stored on a computer-readable data medium.
