The device has a tool (10) exhibiting a mold (20). An insert (38) is positionable and is injection-molded with plastic-molding material in the tool. An insert mold (24) is provided for prefabricating the insert. The insert mold is provided in a cutting region, a gating region (30) or a venting region (28) for the mold of a molded part (12). The insert mold is formed for the accommodation of a fiber semi-finished product.
