The clutch has a drivable primary wheel (1) and a secondary wheel (2) drivable by the primary wheel. The wheels together form a working chamber (3) that causes a transmission of a drive power from the primary wheel to the secondary wheel upon filling with a fluid i.e. rheological fluid, whose viscosity is changeable by applying a magnetic/electrical field. The working chamber is selectively emptyable completely or upto a preset balance fluid quantity. An auxiliary chamber is connected with the working chamber by a fluid-conductive connection. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a fluid clutch.
