The method involves adjusting a tension of the belt pulley and a large suitable momentary tension of the toothened belt is felt for quantifying a tension of the belt and after its provision. An axial position of a toothed belt disk (3a) is varied for adjusting an axial distance by an external joining device and is subsequently fixed. The axially parallel arrangement of two toothed belt disks is provided, on which a toothed belt (5) is provided for the transmission of a rotary motion. An independent claim is also included for an electrical servo-steering mechanism with axially parallel arrangement and a ball nut threaded drive.
