The method involves modifying a surface acting as printing surface of the printing block in nanoscopic area. A chemical functionalizing of the surface is carried out by overlaying (100) with molecules. The printing block undergoes the primary process of the illustrations (110) with laser beam. A fixing (110a) of the molecules in image area is carried out by the primary process of the illustrations. A removal (110b) of the molecules in non-image areas is carried out by an application (130b) of a printing ink in different primary process. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for execution of the method (2) a printing material processing machine (3) a method for handling the printing material of a contacting surface.
