Vectorial multi-port network analyzer calibrating method, involves mathematically determining reflection values of one-port, which is realized by unknown reflective termination to be same as short-circuit and open loop
The method involves implementing a calibration measurement at a twin-port, which is realized by a direct connection of measuring ports (T1-T4) or a short adapted line. The twin-port is connected between each measuring port combination. Another calibration measurement is implemented at a one-port, which is realized by an unknown reflective termination, whose electrical characteristics are same as an open loop. Reflection values of the one-port, which is realized by the unknown reflective termination to be same as a short-circuit and the open loop, are mathematically determined.
