The seat (10) has a backrest (14) adjustable opposite to a seat surface (12) and a support for arranging a head rest (16) and provided at the backrest. A drivable and/or expandable bed extension (18) is arranged at the backrest and provides a lying surface. A retainer for arrangement of the head rest is provided at a side of the bed extension turned away from the seat surface. The bed extension is arranged in or at the backrest such that the extension is transferable from a non utilization position into an utilization position by a pushing and/or clamping mechanism (20).
