The method involves detecting a zero measuring point (P0) in a zero measurement by a contactless polar measuring system (6), and transforming polar coordinates of the zero measuring point into a Euclidean reference coordinate system. Coordinates of an auxiliary measuring point are compared with the coordinates of the zero measuring point in axes of a main deformation coordinate system. The auxiliary measuring point is identified as a deformation measuring point when deviations of the coordinates between the auxiliary and zero measuring points are smaller than a defined tolerance value.
