Procedure for processing participant data in participant databases of communication networks with fee credits and participant devices

The home database of the network stores subscriber data sets. Data sets with charge account data and time data are provided for at least some subscribers. Subscribers with charge accounts can be barred from outgoing and incoming communication during a rest period. During the rest period, short messages (SMS) can still be received. The subscribers have the chance to add credit to their account. Adding credit ends the rest period, and extends the use. If the subscriber does not add credit, his subscriber data set is closed for good or erased, and the account is terminated.
