The armchair has a frame (1) that constitutes a base (2) and a lower part of a backrest (3). The frame has a rear part (4) comprising plane perpendicular faces (5, 7), where the face (5) is turned toward a ground (6) of a theatre or a conference room. The face (7) is turned toward a space that is situated at rear of the armchair, when the armchair is placed. The faces comprise fixation orifices provided for bolts that traverse one of the parts. The frame is fixed on a leg (10) that comprises a housing for the rear part. An independent claim is also included for an assembly formed of an armchair and a leg.
