The machine (1) has a compartment (2) to store letters and packages (3). A case (4) has orifices (5, 7) by which an absence coupon (6) and a personalized chip card (8) are introduced respectively. The chip card permits identification of a recipient. An enclosed and glazed compartment (9) presents letters and the packages from a side in which names and addresses of the recipient are found. A distribution compartment (10) delivers the letters and the packages. A touch screen (11) guides the recipient for permitting to input a code of the chip card, to validate and to cancel his actions.
