The process for producing decorative motifs on objects such as eyeglass frame and jewelry made of plastic material, comprises compressing a heated mold (1) in contour of the object to be obtained from different color plates, and removing the protuberant material over the contour to expose the color of a second plate (6). A bottom of the mold is placed on the plate (5). The material constitutes two cuttings in a hole (4) of the mold. A dimension of an imprint reproduces the object with decorative motifs. Three cuttings with identical contours have different thickness.
