The head (1) has a coaxial injecting tube (4) received in a bore (2) and traversing lower and upper cavities (24, 26) for circulating the cooling liquid of the head. The tube comprises a deformable cylindrical section (8) extending below a middle cylindrical support (6) of the bore, and another deformable cylindrical section (11) extending above the cylindrical support of the bore. The cylindrical support is formed in a wall (5) for separating the lower and upper cavities. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing an injecting tube in a cylinder head.
