The method involves realizing radiological images of a zone to be treated of a patient. A steel rod (18) made of material e.g. Plexiglas, opaque to radiation emitted by a medical imagery equipment e.g. scanner, is used, where the rod includes a precise shape and dimension. The rod is arranged on body of a patient near a body zone in which an implant is placed, where the rod is made of silicon material. The image of the zone and the rod is simultaneously collected, and an enlargement coefficient of the image and the rod is determined from the image. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for implementing an implant dimension determining method (2) a support used in the device.
