PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly rigid probe holder capable of vertically attaching and holding a probe adapted to the convex curved surface of the head having various shapes and keeping the distribution arrangement of the probe fixed. PSOLUTION: The probe holder for optical biological measurement is provided with an irradiation probe for optical biological measurement attached along a subject surface, at least two sockets for holding a light receiving probe, and two connectors which are an upper connector and a lower connector for connecting the two sockets. The lower connector is fixed and attached to the lower part of the socket so as not to change the length of the lower connector connecting the two sockets, the upper connector is attached to the upper part of the socket, and the probe holder has a mechanism capable of changing the length of the upper connector connecting the two sockets and fixing it at a fixed length.
