PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the processing efficiency of the whole of an image processing system by reducing the load of communication or processing and the load of image processing in the image processing system for acquiring medical image data from an image processor or an image preserving device to perform image processing. PSOLUTION: The control part 21 of the image processor judges whether an image processing result, which is obtained by inputting cross-sectional image data at an optional point on a predetermined constitution axis in the original image, can be determined on the basis of the result of the image processing by an image analyzing part 23 inputting the cross-sectional image data transmitted up to the previous time from the image preserving device 3, on the basis of a predetermined reference. The image analyzing part 23 determines the image cross-sectional data to be set to a processing target of a next time for the purpose of determining the image processing result to transmit the same to the image processor 2 from the image preserving device 3 only in the case where the image processing result is judged to be impossible to determine, to transmit the same to the image processor 2 from the image preserving device 3 and performs the determination of the image processing result in the case where the image processing result is judged to be possible to determine without newly transmitting the cross sectional image data to the image processor 2 from the image preserving device 3.
