PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving rolling efficiency in thick plate rolling which improves efficiency and is capable of immediately responding to change required in accordance with an operation state of a factory, and also to provide a method for manufacturing a thick plate.;SOLUTION: The method is used for improving rolling efficiency in the thick plate rolling by carrying out two material calculations of a high yield rolling process and a high efficiency rolling process when carrying out the material calculations. Additional weights indicating (reference yield-actual rolling yield) are respectively calculated from actual slab weight measured before rolling and rolling method to be employed is determined based on the calculated additional weights.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
