PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monolith organic porous body being chemically stable, having high mechanical strength and low pressure loss when a fluid passes through the porous body and capable of being used as an absorbent having large adsorption capacity or an ion exchanger having large ion exchange volume per volume and a monolith ion exchanger and to provide a method for producing the ion exchanger and to provide a chemical filter.;SOLUTION: The monolith organic porous body is characterized in that the porous body has a continuous macropore structure having ≥1 mm thickness and 0.5-5 ml/g whole pore volume in which foam-shaped macropores overlaps each other and the overlap part becomes an opening having a 20-200 μm average diameter and a skeleton section area which appears in cross section is 25-50% in a photographic region in SEM photograph of a cut surface of the continuous macropore structure.
