PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an organic EL display that stabilizes an electric connection between a contact electrode layer and a second electrode layer.;SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the organic EL display includes: a step in which a substrate 2 is prepared which includes a first electrode layer 13, a contact electrode layer 11 arranged with a space with the first electrode layer 13, and an insulator 17 which is formed from over an end of the first electrode layer 13 through over an end of the contact electrode layer 11 and includes a gap G with the contact electrode layer 11; a step in which a charge injection layer 14 is formed from over the first electrode layer 13 through over the insulator 17; a step in which the charge injection layer 14 is filled in the gap G by heating the charge injection layer 14 to liquidate a part of the charge injection layer 14; a step in which an organic electroluminescent layer 15 is formed on the charge injection layer 14 positioned on the first electrode layer 13; and a step in which the second electrode layer 16 is formed from over the organic electroluminescent layer 15 through over the contact electrode layer 11 with the insulator 17 in-between.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
