PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for reliably centering the cutting tools of an NC lathe by a series of operations without inserting shims.;SOLUTION: The centering device for cutting tools 9a of an NC lathe 10 includes: an imaging apparatus 12 capable of focusing on the end surface of a workpiece W; a screen 11b for reflecting an image enlarged by the imaging apparatus 12 thereon; a vertical cross slide 8 disposed movably in a Y-axis (vertical) direction; a comb blade-shaped tool post 9 installed on the vertical cross slide 8 and securing the cutting tools 9a... along the Y-axis direction; and a manual pulse generator 13 for moving the comb blade-shaped tool 9 in the Y-axis (vertical) direction by manually generating pulse signals.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
