PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe press-fitting auxiliary device which can smoothly excavate the hard ground or a hard rock mass by an auger screw without fixing an engaging body to the upper internal peripheral surface of each steel pipe to be press-fitted by welding or the like, and exerts excellent workability, and to provide a steel pipe press-fitting method.;SOLUTION: A casing 12 of the steel pipe press-fitting auxiliary device 10 has a motor 16 of an earth auger 14 mounted and fixed to the upper end face 12A thereof. The casing 12 further has a steel pipe connection device 30 of the press-fitting auxiliary device 10 mounted to the lower end thereof in a manner movable in the vertical direction of the casing 12. A connection device body 32 has a notched portion 36 formed at a lower portion thereof in which a half-cylindrical steel pipe clamp body 38 is arranged.
