PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air floatation transportation device increasing a floating amount of an object to be transferred near a downstream end in a carrying direction of the air floatation unit and reducing air consumption of a whole device, and to provide an air floatation unit and an air floatation transportation method.;SOLUTION: The air floatation unit 5 disposed under a carrying face has side blowout parts 7 blowing air to the center in a unit width direction on both sides in a unit width direction orthogonal to the carrying direction of the object to be carried and a downstream blowout part 8 blowing the air to the upstream in the carrying direction is disposed to a downstream end in the carrying direction.
