PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate connection of an electric source with an electromagnetic stirring apparatus fitted to a continuous casting mold, to drastically shorten a mold exchanging time, to avoid the dangerousness of leak under high humidity atmosphere and to release a heavy labor for treating heavy cable connector.;SOLUTION: The connector at the mold side assembling a plurality of the cables, is disposed at the mold side vertically oscillated and the connector at the outside of the apparatus is disposed in the fixed position at out of the mold, and a connecting mechanism connected with the connector at the mold side by shifting the connector at the outside of the apparatus. In this way, the connection of the connectors is surely performed and fear, such as imperfect contact with the connecting part of the connector, is not developed. Foreign matter on the connector surface can be removed with a purge nozzle and the electric power from the electric source can stably be supplied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
