PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a living confirmation system for network connection apparatus, and a living confirmation method of network connection apparatuses, which transmit a confirmation message at a high frequency of occurrence and confirm living of apparatuses without causing congestion.;SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of exchanges 101 includes: a transmission section 14 for transmitting a confirmation message for carrying out living confirmation; a reception section 15 for receiving the confirmation message; a transmission timing control section 16 for controlling the transmission section 14 to transmit the confirmation message to other exchange of transmission destinations in a prescribed transmission timing separately set for each prescribed time on the basis of a relation between the exchange of the transmission source and the other exchange revised by each prescribed time and synchronously with the transmission timing of the other exchange; and an acknowledgement message transmission section 17 for transmitting an acknowledgement message to the sender exchange when receiving the confirmation message.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
