PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that sampling can not be performed with predetermined sampling frequency when the frequency of a camera shake amount signal is unexpectedly high. PSOLUTION: The camera shake preventing device includes a shutter for imaging, and a sampling circuit which (1) samples a first camera shake amount signal showing amount of first camera shake caused when first imaging with first sampling frequency so as to extract the amount of the first camera shake from the first camera shake amount signal when first imaging, and (2) samples a second camera shake amount signal showing amount of second camera shake caused when second imaging continuous to first imaging and being a basis for determining the speed of the shutter when second imaging with second sampling frequency determined on the basis of the first sampling frequency so as to extract the amount of the second camera shake from the second camera shake amount signal when second imaging.
